Week 18

I feel as though it is only fitting that the week of Thanksgiving, Makayla is the size of a sweet potato. (My favorite dish for Thanksgiving!)

This should be both a good week, but an emotional week none the less.

We will get to see Makayla in all her glory on Tuesday when I have my anatomy scan. My Mom is going to go with me because she has never seen an ultrasound (my brother and I were adopted) and she is so excited to go. Of course, we will be confirming that Makayla is still a girl.

I only have to work on Monday this week which I'm super excited about. I need a break to catch up on my sleeping and get some things in order for Makayla.

It will be so nice to have my parents around for a week! They are getting here in about 2 hours and will be here till Friday morning, when they will head back to TX.

Even though I'm super excited about Makayla, Thursday will be the EDD of the twins. I know it will be an emotional day and that I need to focus on Makayla and what we have, vs. what we lost, but it's very hard not to play the what if game. I can't believe it's been 32 weeks since we lost them. The time has flown by. I will be glad though when the day is over, because that will be it for having to pass estimated due dates for lost babies for us.
