So the other day in the shower I thought I noticed some leakage from my breast. Of course, since you are wet in the shower, it was hard to distinguish if it was me leaking, or just the water. I didn't really think about it and then tonight as I was putting my PJ's on, I noticed that sure enough, I was leaking!
I have been meaning to pull out the breast pump and make sure I knew how to work it and that it worked (my friend let me borrow hers) so I did and tried it out. I didn't actually expect anything of real substance to come out but boy was I wrong.
I put it all together, turned it on, and a TON of colostrum came out! Needless to say I quickly turned it off and cleaned it all up. I don't want to stimulate my nipples to much because I know it can cause preterm labor and at 26 weeks, that would be really bad!
Also, today I hit the 99 day milestone! This is all starting to feel very very real.
I will leave you with a funny story.
So yesterday at work I was talking with out safety guy Mike and we got to talking about the new house Mark and I are building. He said he would like to check it out some time because he use to build houses and we continued to talk about the house. He then asked when we thought the house would be done and I told him mid April. He said that was good but that it will probably be pushed till late April with the weather.
I told him yeah, we knew it would probably be pushed and that made us nervous since the baby is due on April 25th. His response, "You're pregnant?!"
Yes, a guy that I work with everyday and sees me everyday had no idea I was pregnant. I need my belly to pop soon!
